Billing Policy
Life Medical Imaging offer bulk billing on majority of our services.
If your appointment requires payment it is required that the account is paid in full on the day of your appointment. If your examination attracts a Medicare rebate, a portion of your full payment will then be rebated to you by Medicare.
Payment methods
- Telephone – call 02 4326 7000 prior to attending your appointment. You may pay with Visa or Mastercard and receipt will be sent to you by email.
- Credit card (Visa or Mastercard)
- EFTPOS
- Cash
Overseas patients
All overseas patients who do not hold a valid Australian Medicare card for the date(s) of service are required to pay in full on the day.
Depending on your insurance cover, you may be eligible to claim a portion of fees paid as a rebate through your insurance company. Our fees are billed in accordance with the Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS).
WorkCover and Motor Vehicle Accident accounts
Please ensure your WorkCover claim is approved prior to your appointment and you bring all relevant paperwork with you. If the claim has not been approved prior to your appointment you are required to pay upfront and claim the funds back from the insurer once approved.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel an appointment, please give LMI as much notice as possible. If you do not attend or cancel an appointment within less than 1 business days’ notice you will be required to pay a fee of $75 for the appointment and you will not receive a Medicare rebate for a non-attendance payment.
